The first autumn-like weather in Greece will come in the country’s northwest on Sunday, with heavy rain and storms forecast for the western seaboard, especially in the Ionian Sea Island of Corfu and nearby Paxoi.
The inclement weather will then extend to northwest Greece, the Epirus province, with hail also forecast.
Cloudiness and rain are expected to affect much of the west and north of the country, before ebbing by the afternoon.
Mostly sunny elsewhere in the country, with light winds of force 3 to 5 on the seas and temperatures in the mid-30s, more-or-less ideal late summer weather.
The same weather will be in store for the greater Athens area, with temperatures of between 21C to 33C.
