“Athinaion Legends” powered by Allianz is an ongoing, themed series of movie screenings taking place in the Athinaion cinema. These screenings aim to give viewers the opportunity to enjoy iconic movies on the big screen, as they were first shown. Athinaion Legends is bringing back beloved classics like “Beverly Hills Cop” this May 8th, “Predator” on May 22nd and “Deer Hunter” starring Meryl Streep on May 23rd amongst others.
A city landmark
Athinaion cinema—also known as Athinaion Experience—is one of the only movie theatres that still employs poster artists for custom work. Virginia Axioti is the artist responsible for creating all custom artwork for new showing movies, that is then displayed under the cinema’s name.
Amongst the classic movie theatre foods like popcorn and nachos, there is a cocktail bar and the opportunity to buy a pizza to enjoy during your film of choice.
