Every year, Greece hosts some of the most prominent public figures, each with their own story and audience. While each person is different from the last, there’s one thing that connects them all: their love for the dreamscapes and awe-inspiring beauty of one of the world’s top vacation destinations. And as the summer season comes to an end, here’s a recap of some of Greece’s most famed tourists of 2025.

Kylie Jenner

In the Ionian Sea, 28-year old makeup mogul Kylie Jenner made her second consecutive trip to Greece’s blue waters. In an Instagram post, Jenner was pictured shimmering on a yacht in the middle of the ocean, and was later seen playing with the water nymphs in a small Kefalonia cove.

Jenner’s return to Greece is not surprising, as this year, she was once again joined by Greek-American influencer and close friend, Anastasia Karanikolaou, commonly known as Stassie.

Michael Jordan

Former Chicago Bull and NBA legend Michael Jordan was also spotted in Greece. His trip consisted of a tour of the Ionian—visiting Corfu, Paxos, Lefkada and Ithaca—a stop in the quaint yet cosmopolitan island of Spetses and an evening on the luxurious Athens Riviera.

At a corporate dinner by Kavouri Beach, hosted by his company, Air Jordan, the two-time Basketball Hall of Famer left a slam dunk tip of 10,000 euros. The gesture was seen as a thank you to the staff for a night of delicious food and lavish atmosphere.

In a quick speech at the dinner, Jordan also thanked Greece for its ancient history that ultimately helped inspire his brand’s mission and new collection.

Magic Johnson

But Jordan wasn’t the only MVP in Greece. NBA giant and former Los Angeles Laker Earvin “Magic” Johnson was joined by his wife, Cookie, and a group of friends while sailing through the Ionian on a superyacht. The group made stops in Corfu and Kefalonia, and enjoyed dinner with a view in the latter’s coastal village of Fiskardo.

For Johnson, it seems that the grind never stops. In an Instagram post, Johnson was seen walking on a treadmill on the boat’s deck as a drone camera zoomed out to capture his gorgeous view. The caption read, “You don’t need much motivation to workout with this beautiful backdrop!”

Claudia Schiffer

90s supermodel Claudia Schiffer took to Instagram to spread the word that “Greece is simply beautiful.” During her trip, Schiffer stayed in a luxurious villa on the coast of the Peloponnese. She was seen exploring the streets in the soft golden light of the setting sun and supporting local boutiques, adorned with a collection of knitted-pieces.

For Schiffer, Greek holidays have become a regular occurrence. In 2022, she posted photos from her time spent in the resort town of Porto Heli in the Peloponnese on social media with the caption “Greece was calling my name!” Since then, Schiffer has given in to the siren’s song every year; each visit a chance for her and her millions of fans to enjoy watercolor sunsets and salt-air breezes.

Esteban Ocon

Before getting back on the race tracks, F1 driver Esteban Ocon made a “pitstop” at the Ionian island of Kefalonia. The French driver shared photos of his island getaway on his social media. He was also pictured taking in a port view with his partner, French medical student and influencer Flavy Barla.

Morgan Freeman

Morgan Freeman made his way to Paxos this year and was seen with some familiar faces. The Hollywood luminary was pictured with actors Christoforos Papakaliatis and Maria Kavogianni from the hit television series “Maestro,” which is set and filmed on the same island. A few months ago, Freeman shared his admiration for the drama series on Instagram, saying, “If you haven’t had the pleasure of watching Maestro in Blue, you are truly missing out. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Paxos – a small Greek island that is close to my heart – this series is a masterpiece.”

While the island has always been known for its breathtaking beaches and dramatic cliffs, the series has given viewers around the world, including Freeman, the opportunity to experience its beauty from their living rooms, even growing a desire to actualize what they see on their TV screens (Without the suspenseful narrative, of course).

Kate Hudson

Making yet another return to Greece this summer was “Almost Famous” star Kate Hudson. For Hudson, Greece has become a go-to summer destination, having travelled throughout the islands and making a routine visit to Skiathos in the Sporades.

This trip was a family affair. In an Instagram post, the Golden Globe-winning actress was enjoying small moments with fiancée Danny Fujikawa, her son and others, with the caption, “We love you, Greece!”

Cristiano Ronaldo

After signing a contract with Saudi football club Al Nassr in June, Portuguese football player Cristiano Ronaldo was spotted weeks later aboard a yacht cruising along the Aegean. Ronaldo and his family started their summer vacation in Mallorca. Eventually, they made their was to Greece where their boat was seen off the Northern coast of Evia, Greece’s second-largest island, and later in the Sporades near Skiathos and Skopelos—both of which are often recognized as the backdrop of the summer musical “Mamma Mia!”

This was certainly not Ronaldo’s first time in Greece. In 2018, he visited to finalize his transfer to Italian football club Juventus, and in 2014, he was spotted in Mykonos on vacation. Ronaldo’s earliest recorded appearance in Greece, however, was in 2004, when the Portugal National Football Team lost to Greece at the Euro Cup Final, one year after his debut—undoubtedly an emotional moment for the then 19-year-old. It’s nice to see, though, that Greece still maintains a special place in his heart.

Novak Djokovic

Serbian tennis superstar Novak Djokovic was spotted in Mykonos following a demanding season, and what could have been a history-making Wimbledon run, making this Cycladic retreat well-deserved reset.

In June, rumors spread that the 24-time Grand Slam winner would be relocating to Greece. However, this trip subtly rejected the gossip, confirming that Monte Carlo will remain home base for him and his family. Nevertheless, it’s no secret that Djokovic is likely to return. Having travelled to many different parts of the country over the years, this trip to Mykonos likely served as a return to normalcy after a whirlwind tennis season.

Michael Kors

American fashion designer Michael Kors also took to social media to share his retreat to the dreamy island of Hydra. On Instagram, he was seen soaking up the sun, taking a dip in the sea and spending quality time with husband Lance LePere.

In a heartfelt caption, Kors expressed the love he has for Greece, and the endless inspiration that the country has to offer creatives. Quoting fashion legend Diana Vreeland, he wrote, “The eye has to travel!”
