Guitar virtuoso Uli Jon Roth will perform at Gagarin 205 in Athens on June 5th 2026, as part of his Virgin Killer 50th Anniversary Tour 2026, a European tour celebrating five decades since the release of the influential Scorpions album.

BELGRADE, SERBIA – AUGUST 21 : Guitarist Uli Jon Roth (ex. Scorpions) and his band performs onstage at Belgrade BeerFest 2011 at “Usce” August 21, 2011 in Belgrade, Serbia.
The tour centers on a milestone performance: for the first time, and according to the organizers for the last time, the entire Virgin Killer album will be performed live in its entirety. The concert aims to revisit one of the defining records of Roth’s career and a key release in the history of hard rock.
Roth played a pivotal role in shaping the early sound of the Scorpions during his tenure as the band’s lead guitarist from 1974 to 1978. During that period, he contributed to albums including Fly to the Rainbow, In Trance, and Virgin Killer, helping establish a musical style marked by technical virtuosity, melodic complexity, and innovative guitar work.

Widely recognized for his distinctive playing style, Roth became one of the most influential guitarists of his generation and a pioneering figure in the development of neoclassical rock. His work continues to inspire musicians decades after the original recordings were released.
The Athens concert will feature more than a retrospective look at the past. Before turning to Virgin Killer, Roth will open the evening with Pictures of Our Destiny, a program that showcases his current artistic direction and more recent musical work.
