Police in Rhodes are investigating a burglary at a home in the Faliraki area, where unknown perpetrators stole a safe containing €100,000 and 1,200 British pounds.

Authorities are carrying out searches to identify and arrest the person or people believed to be responsible for the break-in.

Burglary took place while homeowner was away

According to initial police findings, the burglary is believed to have happened between 6:00 pm and 10:00 pm, while the owner was not at the residence.

The suspects reportedly entered the house and removed the safe before leaving the property.

The homeowner later reported the incident to police, stating that the safe contained the large amount of cash as well as the British currency.

Following the report, officers began gathering evidence from the area and examining available information that could help identify the suspects.
