Μake us preferred on Google A 45-year-old man was arrested in Nea Smyrni, a suburb of Athens, after waiting outside his estranged wife’s home with a loaded revolver.
The incident began when the 35-year-old woman called police and reported that her estranged husband was attempting to force his way through the door of her home and threatening her life.
Police officers arrived at the scene, prompting the 45-year-old to attempt to flee. However, he remained in the area, hiding behind a tree while watching the woman’s balcony.
Officers located and restrained him. During a body search, they found a revolver hidden under his shirt and loaded with six rounds, along with 11 additional rounds of ammunition.
The man was arrested and taken before a prosecutor.
